Studies have shown that TRX is just as good as lifting weights, it can have a similar level of muscle activation and strength building through the use of your body weight as resistance.
TRX is excellent for toning the core, but also helps you to work on specific parts of the body, including the legs, core, arms, etc. You just need to do the right types of exercises for the areas that you want to work on the most.
Due to the nature of the TRX and how it is hung, it will help to build your core at the same time as other parts of your body.
